It is generally risky to go set them in spots where they don't risk to blow you up. It can be carried along with an M32, an M79 and pipes, but people using this kind of loadout have to watch out for their low magazine capacities, their very long reload times and the cost of their ammo. The MK has increased mag capacity and total ammo, and the Handcannon's superior damage makes the bullet penetration pretty brutal even offperk. The one you'll use is just up to your preference. It also has this very appreciable interruptible reload time.įor how light and relatively cheap it is, some people like to carry a pistol around as a sidearm. A headshot will instantly kill any trash mob, a bloat that was a bit predamaged, stun husks, and two of them will kill husks and sirens. If you want to avoid this, you can carry around a lever action rifle.Įxtremely cheap and powerful, the lever action rifle is an excellent sidearm to any perk and loadout that has the room for it. The problem of using the M79/medgun sidearms is that you still are completely helpless if you are attacked by a lonely gorefast or caught by a group of crawlers or clots. Since as a demo you'll be pretty often behind your teammates, away from the frontline, it is not such a bad idea to carry a ranged healing weapon considering you won't be shooting constantly. This is enough room to carry around a medic gun of your choice IF you choose to carry one. The M79 is a good sidearm to the M32 as you can shoot husks, sirens and trash with it rather than using your precious primary ammo, and it is really light, leaving 3 blocks of your inventory unused. To make it short, the M32 is your bread and butter weapon for your demo assignments that you should have read in the section above, so avoid spoiling its ammo on trash zeds when it's not necessary (aka, just to get kills). Although you'll want to avoid doing this too often, as you have to save your rare ammo on this gun to kill fleshpounds, and in extreme emergency cases, scrakes. It is extremely fast at clearing bunches of trash zeds in panic situations. What is really appreciable about this weapon is the 6 rounds clip, a unique feature amongst grenade launchers. But there is some truth in these worries, as you must reload whenever the occasion is given when you wield an M32. What most people dislike about the M32 is its "low" single shot damage and the long reload time, although unlike the previously mentionned weapons, this reload time is interruptible at any moment. The M32 is one of the rare top-tier weapons in the trader menu that are also top-notch and a must-have ingame. In conclusion, the LAW is very far from the best weapon you can use as a demo.Īs the Scout in TF2 once said, "That's what I'm talking about !". And when your sharpshooter can kill a scrake at any range without really risking anything in two bolts costing £11 each, while you have to shoot from 2 to 6 rockets £21 each to kill a single one, not only it is a waste of money but a waste of the LAW's precious ammo that you already spammed away to get on top of the scoreboard. You might protest with a weak and pathetic "but it can stun scrakes !" and it's true, but that gives your team a demo that can't deal with fleshpounds, which is, you'll agree, pretty sad. This is the LAW's biggest downside : it has only one projectile that is completely useless at close range, and it takes forever to reload that single projectile. A single rocket is far from enough to kill a fleshpound, and it will only rage it for it to be blending you to pieces by the time you loaded in a second rocket.

You might think "but that makes the team win, it's a good weapon !" and if you do so, you are a heartless piece of scum to give so few f♥cks about your teammates, but I forgive you.

Most of the LAW demos you see around just spam their rockets in a choke point, thus topscoring without having to make actual efforts and being hated by their teammates because of this rocket spam that leaves nothing left to kill. You see, the LAW might have a dedicated character line when pulled out and shoot mother♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rockets, it is not a weapon that will make you a great help to your team. You see that weapon that makes big explosions and deals insane damage ? You take it, you put it in a locker, you lock it, you burry that locker, you build a football stadium above it and you forget about its existence.
